What is cursed text?
Cursed text is ordinary text buried under extreme stacks of Unicode combining marks, making it look possessed or corrupted while the original words hide underneath, still copyable.
How the Cursed Text Generator works
Every letter you type becomes an anchor for dozens of combining characters: accents, strokes and hooks that Unicode designed to sit on top of, below or through a base letter. Stack enough of them and the marks overflow the line in both directions, swallowing the word itself. Your text is still in there, character for character, which is why cursed text can be pasted, quoted and even searched once the marks are stripped away.
The curse level controls the pile-up. Low gives you a readable word with something wrong with it. Medium is the classic cursed copypasta density. High produces the full tower of noise where the original text is a rumour. The generator also throws in the heavier middle marks that slash through letters, which is what separates cursed text from a clean glitch effect.

What is the difference between cursed text and Zalgo text?
Zalgo is a specific style of cursed text named after the creepypasta character it was attached to. Cursed text is the broader family: any text corrupted with stacked marks, glitch swaps or distortion. This page includes Zalgo as one of its styles.
Is cursed text safe to post?
The text itself is harmless Unicode and cannot damage a site or a device. Some platforms limit extremely tall text in names or titles because it overlaps other content, so keep heavy curses to messages and posts.
Why does cursed text stick out above and below the line?
Combining marks are placed relative to the letter they follow, and stacking dozens of them builds a column that overflows the normal line height. Apps render the full column, which is the overflowing effect you see.
How do I read heavily cursed text?
Copy it and paste it into the converter on this page, then look at the plain styles, or paste it into any text tool that strips diacritics. The original letters are untouched underneath the marks.
Will cursed text work in my username?
Sometimes. Lenient platforms accept it; stricter ones strip combining marks from names, leaving plain text. Test at the lowest curse level first.
